(Xi’an) Workshop on Social Networks and Health

This workshop was held as a branch workshop of the 2013 annual International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA) official conference in Xi’an, China. The workshop, in line with the INSNA, focused on the effective methods of using social networking to improve health as well as to better intervene health related risk behaviors. Designed to promote collaborations between the University of Chicago, other American institutions and Chinese counterparts, this workshop explored issues such as social mechanisms that affect the spread of STDs and collateral health effects due to health externalities.
