Parents, Alumni, and Friends Witness The Hong Kong Jockey Club University of Chicago Academic Complex | The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus in Hong Kong Opening.

On the afternoon of November 30, parents, alumni, friends of the University and staff at the University of Chicago Center in Beijing gathered at the Beijing Center for a watch party of the video streaming of the ribbon-cutting ceremony that opens The Hong Kong Jockey Club University of Chicago Academic Complex |The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus in Hong Kong. Xueming Liang of the Beijing Center introduced to the audience background of the Hong Kong campus as well as the prominent speakers. Participants expressed respect and congratulations to the university on such a milestone investment made in Hong Kong, with visions to deepen its partnership and historical ties in China and the region.

After the watch party, Xueming showed participants around the Center to provide further information on the university’s history, its programs as well as missions in China. Upon learning the book launch event on December 3rd when the Chinese translation of Dean Boyer’s book The University of Chicago: A History will be released, they all committed to attend.
