On July 10th, a number of UChicago incoming students, their parents, current students and alumni gathered at The Bookworm Beijing to meet and exchange information regarding student life and career opportunities offered by UChicago.
The event was organized by UChicago Career Advancement but hosted by Guy Cui, P’19. As an effort to increase engagement among UChicago incoming and current students, parents and alumni, the reception also highlighted the career programs, specifically the Metcalf Internship Program, for undergraduate students at the University of Chicago. The event started off with the welcome words from the Deputy Director of the Beijing Center, Ji Yuan, and UChicago College alumnus, Ben Yang, and was concluded by Guy Cui, who took the chance to share his experience seeking career resources after graduation and to provide some advice for students at the reception. While enjoying drinks and food during the event, all the participants were found having a good time mingling with each other and engaging in group conversations.
